Any last words for 2014?

Any last words for 2014?

...Swear words are totally allowed as your parting words to the old year :)

2014 has not been an easy year for many of us. Loads of big changes happened in our lives – moves, break up’s, job transitions, lost loved ones.

But – Numerology, Chinese Astrology and other philosophies promise a more stable year in 2015, so there’s hope :)

According to Numerology, this is an 8-year (2+0+1+5=8) and 8 stands for money, power and most of all balance.

But on top of the general 8-year, we will all be having, we also each have a personal year which gets calculated by our birth date plus the 8 of 2015. I have found this informative article on the subject, in case you’re interested: http://numerology.astrologyclub.org/2015-personal-year/

I will be having a 4-year, for example, which is all about laying the foundations and doing disciplined ground work for what’s to come in later years. Having just moved countries I can really relate to that, since I have to build my life & business from scratch here in Berlin.

Send-off for 2014, Welcoming 2015

I never set my New Year’s goals on January 1. There’s always such a hype around New Year’s resolutions, combined with the general assumption that we will fail at them anyway, so I usually do this a little early (at the end of the old year), or a couple of weeks into the New Year, when I have arrived in my daily routine again and set more realistic (but still inspiring) goals :)

If you haven’t yet, take a few minutes to acknowledge your experiences of 2014, so you can let them go, and create space for what’s to come in 2015. This is a very short list, so treat yourself to a few minutes of Me-Time.

Letting go of the old year

  • What was the best thing that happened in 2014?
  • What was the smartest decision you made in 2014?
  • What was your greatest lesson in 2014?
  • What did you finally understand about life and yourself?
  • Which people had the greatest impact on you in 2014?
  • What do you want to say to the year 2014?

Creating the New Year

  • What would you like to be your biggest accomplishment in 2015?
  • What will you do differently this year?
  • What kind of person do you want to be in 2015?
  • How are you going to treat yourself this year?
  • How do you want to feel this year? (joyful, loved, successful, abundant, free, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, etc.)
  • What are you going to do more of in 2015, because it brings you so much joy?
  • What one, two or three words will be your guiding theme in 2015?

Use your passwords to support you!

This is really a clever way to stay on track and keep your overall intention for 2015 in the back and forefront and everywhere in your mind: change your passwords to reflect your overall intention for the year.

We all use several password a day – for our computer, for our phone, for our email account, for our bank account. Why not give them some added value for our life?

For example: more$in2015, I<3myself, minus10lbs – you get the idea!

Get creative! I would love to ask you what you come up with and leave it in the comments below, but then I’d know your passwords… :)

Happy 2015!

Most of us are wondering what the purpose of our life is, but how often do we stop and ask, What is the purpose of the work I’m doing? What is the purpose of the muffin I’m eating right now? What is the purpose of what I’m about to say to my child in aContinue Reading

Conscious Career Planning

“They rejected me at that new company. That sucks. I really wanted that job!” “No, actually you did not really want THAT job. It was less pay, less of what you enjoy doing, and an even longer commute than now. You just really wanted to get away from your current job.” “Hm… true.” “This isContinue Reading

It’s Saturday as I type this and I just had a reminder pop up on my phone that said, “Today I am moving to Berlin!” (Only I’ve been living here already for 3 days…) As it popped up, I remembered a conversation I had with my sister two months ago. She said, “Are you sureContinue Reading

What purpose does your current job serve in your life?

What purpose does your current job serve in your life?

Yesterday I texted with a friend, who just landed a new job. Normally that would be good news, right? But she was a bit sad, because she’s in the middle of starting her business, which really caters to all her gifts, skills and talents. She was afraid that this job would distract her from followingContinue Reading

Circumstances don’t control how we feel. We do.

Circumstances don’t control how we feel. We do.

So this happened to me yesterday: I went to the station to pick up a ticket I had booked online. They just rebuilt everything and the service center is new and looks completely different. So I picked one of the seven queues and stood in line. When it was my turn, I said, “I wouldContinue Reading

Unfollow Your Negative Thoughts

People complain about “the crap that appears on facebook” and how upset it makes them. They even argue and insult certain people who posted an opinion they don’t agree with. Why? I wonder. Why do they follow a page that posts news that upsets them? Why do they choose to indulge in their own upset-ness?Continue Reading
